Dr. Zane Mills is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, with an undergraduate degree from UCLA. Originally from Sedan, KS, Dr. Mills moved to Shidler, OK, after high school and now calls Fairfax, OK, home. He practices alongside his father-in-law, Dr. Mike Ben, at Fairfax Dental, where they are dedicated to providing high-quality dental care with a small-town, family-oriented feel. Dr. Mills is passionate about delivering exceptional dental care while building meaningful, lasting relationships with his patients. He believes in a personalized approach, taking the time to truly listen and ensure patients feel comfortable, valued, and empowered in their oral health decisions. By combining his advanced education with the latest dental technology, Dr. Mills provides world-class care right in the heart of his rural community. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Mills enjoys spending time on his family’s ranch in Shidler, OK, and relaxing with his wife, Sarah, and their two dogs, Ozzy and Millie. He loves the balance of small-town living and serving his community through compassionate, high-quality dentistry. Dr. Mike Ben has been serving the Fairfax community with dedication and excellence for over 40 years. A graduate of Widener University and the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, Dr. Ben has built a reputation for providing comprehensive, high-quality dental care in a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Throughout his career, Dr. Ben has remained passionate about offering a wide range of services — from braces to implants — ensuring patients receive the care they need close to home. His commitment to continuing education and achieving Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) reflects his dedication to staying at the forefront of dental advancements and providing the best possible care for his patients. Dr. Ben and his wife have raised three children, all of whom graduated from Fairfax schools, further deepening his connection to the community he serves. When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Ben enjoys tending to his pecan orchard and spending time in his workshop, where he channels his creativity into woodworking. With decades of experience and a heart for his community, Dr. Ben looks forward to continuing to build lasting relationships with his patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles for years to come.
Sydney Hazen is a registered dental hygienist (RDH) having graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2012. She had a wonderful hygienist when she was young who always made going to the dentist a fun and stress-free experience. At the age of twelve she thought she wanted to become a dental hygienist so she worked in a dentist’s office in the summers, filing and answering phones to make sure this was an environment she could work in. She has 13 years of hygiene experience and has been at Fairfax Dental Clinic for the last 10 years. She is dedicated to her patients and their oral health. Knowing what she wanted to do from a very young age allowed her to be able to focus on providing a positive experience at the dentist’s office. Outside of Sydney’s professional life, she is the mother of three children. She is very busy with all of their sporting activities. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, running, and going to the lake. Fun fact about Sydney — she had her first child just one week before starting dental hygiene school and her second child six months before school ended. At times, they would even attend oral pathology with her!
